India Post Offices in Goa

Goa is small, so its postal map is easy to read. India Post runs 257 offices across the state’s two districts, covering 93 PIN codes and 12 talukas. For a state this compact, that is dense coverage, and you are rarely far from a counter whether you are in a coastal town or an inland village.

The two head post offices anchor the network, backed by 102 sub offices and 153 branch offices. The branch share here, around six in ten, is lower than in most hill states, which reflects how built-up and town-heavy Goa is compared with the rest of the country. That balance also makes the network handy for business mail and bulk dispatch, which the larger town offices are set up to handle.

Almost all the post offices in Goa fall under North Goa, which carries 156 of them and is the larger of the two districts, while South Goa accounts for the remaining 101. Panaji and the northern towns naturally pull more offices, but South Goa’s count is healthy for its size.
