India Post Offices in North West, Delhi

In the northern stretch of the capital, where dense residential colonies sit beside the older urban villages of the Delhi ridge, India Post runs a fairly counter-heavy operation. North West district has 44 post offices spread across 13 pincodes. Unlike most rural districts, the balance here tilts towards full counters: 26 are sub-offices and 18 are branch offices, with no separate head office for the district, so mail is routed through the Ashok Vihar head office.

Coverage is reasonably even rather than concentrated in one pocket. The Rohini and Saraswati Vihar talukas each hold the largest counts, while the Kanjhawala side takes in the more village-like fringe.
